What are your fees?
Fees are $130 per session including GST for private counselling. Supervision fees are $130 plus GST. There may be assistance available through the health service, work and income or employee assistance programmes. Ask me for details.
What happens at our first session?
At our first session we get to know each other and make sure that the working relationship feels comfortable. From there we can form a plan and work towards achieving your goals.
How many sessions will I need?
That depends! I like to think that people find me a direct therapist and so my general style does tend to mean session numbers are relatively short. Many of the funding models do not provide for long term therapy so that is another consideration.
About Me
I am an experienced counsellor originally from Wales, UK but been here in New Zealand since 2009.
I see adults both male and female, couples and older teens. I have worked with people over many issues including anxiety. depression , life challenges, mentoring, grief and pretty much anything that might be holding you back.
In 2010 I co-founded the charity Whirlwind which seeks to help men feel better about life. Clinically I see both men and women and enjoy the variety!
In 2019 I was awarded the Queen's Services Medal for services to mental health.
I work solely in private practice and have contracts with Employment Assistance organisations, the health sector (PHO) as well seeing clients privately or with Work and Income support.
I can see people face to face or virtually.
I live on the beautiful Kapiti Coast with my wife and 2 children.
